Emersed Pictures RE March Meeting

Post by dougrm3 »

Want to say thank you for the March meeting with information on growing emersed. Here is what happens with a little success. My wife likes the flavored Walmart brand water and they make great emersed containers. You can see the plant starter container (from the workshop) in the back to give a perspective on size. The plant starter container in the background is full of crypts. The water bottles have Purple bamboo, water sprite, Hygro Tiger and red crypt (need an ID) .

Close ups of the water battles. Used 70% parts turface (from workshop) and 30% AZOO aqua soil. Water sprite is growing much slower (yeah!) and sending up new leaves. Like to keep some around for new set ups but it takes over. Gave two boxes away as ROAKS a few weeks ago.

This room gets lots of natural light. It's a corner room with windows that receive sun light from the east and south. Plants do not receive direct light.

I think he means turface, but I'm not sure. Turface is good stuff for emersed setups, good CEC

Sorry. It is turface. Just edited the post. So much for depending on memory.
