125 Journal

Post by ddavila06 »

well, finally i got the background up and i think the tank might be on fair shape to take a few pics 8) . i have this 125 with two bags of flora max on the bottom and eco complete on the top. the lights came from catalina aquariums, a six feet 54 w 5 feet long bulbs. 6 of them: half 65k, half 10k.

fish are the pair of DD black angels, 3 weather loaches, several clown plecos, 4-5 ancistrus, one long fin ancistrus, a few common cories, two madagascar and three boesmani rainbows, several montezuma swordtails, 6 tripple red appistogramma cacatuoides, an unknown appisto, a kool L # pleco i, 4 whiptail plecos, and a few misc more :D

Plant list is a little harder, but here : H. Corimbosa "Angustifolia", H. Difformis, H. Polisperma "Ceylon" (not 100%sure, but thats what i came up with), Anubia nana, Anubia Gasser, Anubia Coffefolia, Anubia Barterii, Anubia Lanceolata, Crypt Usteriana, Crypt Becketii, Crypt rosainberg, Crypt Parva, Crypt Wentii (two kinds specifically unknown), Madagascar Lace Plant, Several Amazon Swords (specifically unknown species), Banana Plant, Nymphaea Micrantra, Dwarf Saggitaria, Jungle Vallisnerias, Hydrocotile Verticillata, Hydrocotile Leucaphola, Ludwigia Rapens x Arcuata, Stourogyne Sp. "Bihar", Flame Moss...probably more, thats a lot of names to remember since i don't have a good system to record

the pics are a little murky from me just doing a 55% water change today and one filter impeller needs to be replaced, so only one working..

enjoy

Wow, man, that tank has it going on! Flowers galore and cool fish!

I don't know whether sword flowers can be used to distinguish species or not, but when they open, be sure to post a pic! I know the flowers on my E. 'Red Flame' and E. 'Tri-color' were only open for a few days before they wilted, though usually more flowers opened on that stalk shortly after that.
