Post by ingg »

Finally got to set up my brother's tank.

All low tech, low light. Few varietes of Anubias, Java Ferns, Crypts, and some Bolbitis.

Shot of the whole setup.

Gawds he sure did it right. I R a bit jealous of this setup.

Eco Complete, Eheim ProII, I collected black slate for rock in virginia, GLO T5 2x39 fixture, trimless tank, Oceanic Tech stand....

Sick setup, after converting our 75 from a high tec tank to a slow growers, I've really liked aquascapes like this, It also doesn't hurt that maintenance is way less. Is that crypt parva in the foreground? I really like the contrast of the black slate. Very nice.

What kind of aquarium is that? Everything looks really nice.

Thanks guys!

Crypt Willissii.

It is a new line from Oceanic, the Illuminata's are Oceanic's trimless aquariums - top rimless, bottom still has a rim. A revamp of their 58g, is an overheighted 50 breeder.

Looks great Dave! Have you thought about adding an moss to the wood to soften it up a bit? Otherwise, I think it's like a great setup and scape! The most important thing though, is your brother happy with how everything turned out?
