Re: March Meeting
I have it. I didn't remember buying it, but I thought I must have ordered it by mistake. I have them in a vase of water on my windowsill. Not sure how to get them to you since I'm getting ready to go on a business trip.

Re: Buildmyled.com
My concern is a 3" space in the middle of the light with no LEDs. It has a bank of 15 LEDs, then about three spaces over another bank of 15 lights. I wonder if this is because of the length, fitting two 12" fixtures into a 30" light leaves a blank space of about 3" in the center...

Re: Buildmyled.com
Hi Julie, Do you know which lights were used for the #1 and #11 in your test? Thought you all might be interested to see my analysis of the various lights from Buildmyled.com. My husband and I were able to compare the lights nicely since I have three almost identical 5.2g tanks sitting side by side...

Re: seriously. reliable heaters?
How about this one: http://www.amazon.com/Cobalt-Aquatics-Neo-Therm-Heaters-Plastic/dp/B008AGHH8Y/ref=sr_1_7?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1386776058&sr=1-7&keywords=25+heater . It is not super cheap, but it is adjustable. Many of the low watt heaters just come preset. I think the inlin...

Re: Christmas Tree Watering
I used some extra aquarium supplies to make myself a DIY Christmas Tree automatic watering system. No more climbing under the tree for me! The key to my system is the container, which can be bought from Target or Walmart. It has a perfect size hole in the top for the small tubing. I know some peopl...

Re: seriously. reliable heaters?
I use the Hydor for my 37g, but it is too big for my nano tanks. In my nanos I use the Aqueon Pro Heater 50 w (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003C5JNXK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Up until about three weeks ago I had wonderful luck with them. I have four of them in small tanks ...

I use an external reactor I bought off of AquariumPlants.com. It is silent and efficient.

Re: Substrates
Well, when I used AquaSoil (AS), it grew plants great, but turned to mud quickly and everytime I moved a plant around the water got so cloudy it would kill the fish. :( I use Fluval in a few small tanks and it doesn't grow plants as well as AS, but it does grow plants well enough. It is lighter than...
